Joseph Vincent, pillar of the community, has left this world, leaving behind a warm legacy, goodwill, and invaluable contributions to the town he called home.

Joseph Vincent was not just a resident; he was a beloved figure whose presence brought positivity throughout New Jersey.

Known for his friendly demeanor and steadfast commitment to community service, Joseph Vincent was cherished by neighbors and friends alike.

All who had the honor of knowing him will feel his absence.

Joe was an advisor, a blue coat brother, a helper, a listener to many, a counselor to others and above all a friend when you needed one.

He served as president of NJAALEOA from 2008 to 2020.

He was also a former Rutgers police officer and officer for the Edison Township, promoted to sergeant in 2016.

He was diagnosed with ALS in 2020.

Joseph dedicated over 20 years to law enforcement and public service. He worked tirelessly to build trust between police and the Asian American community.

As president of NJAALEOA, Joseph spearheaded numerous initiatives to support Asian American law enforcement officers. He mentored young recruits and helped them advance their careers.

Joseph was admired for his compassion, wisdom and commitment to justice. He treated all people with dignity and respect.

Although Joseph has left us, his spirit lives on through the many lives he touched. He was a loving husband, father, uncle, friend and colleague. Joseph’s memory will be cherished by his wife Emily, children Michael and Stella, parents, siblings and all those fortunate to know him.
